Our Story: From a Small Flock to a Growing Dream
My journey began with a simple desire to connect with and learn from other homesteaders. What started as a Facebook page quickly grew into a passion, leading my family and me to take a leap in 2020. That's when we bought our first four chickens and two ducks, officially beginning our serious homesteading adventure. Since then, our small farm has flourished, and we've learned to grow the bulk of our own produce.
As a proud member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina, I'm honored to draw on the rich traditions of my heritage, blending them with my academic background. With a Bachelor's in Food Science and a Master's in Science Education, my goal is to share practical, science-backed knowledge with a respect for the old ways. We’re working towards a dream of expanding our homestead to provide our community with delicious, locally raised food, and I’m taking you along for the journey.
